Color Me Creative challenge - White

this challenge needed to use lots of white and just one POP of color. I've always wanted to work with vellum and stamping so it was a great chance to practice... I'm happy how it turned out but I wish I could photograph better.. The ink is a brilliant and really sparkles... I've entered into the Color Me Creative challenge.

hi there.. For challenge #50 @ Copic Creations Challenge we are using the neglected yellows... I have a friend that I was thinking about and decided to use this rainy day Tilda to make up a "Ain't No Sunshine..." card.. The copics I used were Y04, Y11, Y15 and a touch of T3 to to change the shadows... I could not find a paper in my stash that I liked so I made one using clipart.

I saw this image at Mo's Digital and just had to have it.. this looks just like my daughter and my niece when they get together.. I made this card up a few weeks early... I LOVE the paper.. Its from a DCWV stack... and of course I used a Penny Duncan "Nestie" Label. LOVE EM ALL... the card is sooo much prettier up close.. it's full of sparkle and glitter... colored with copics... of course.. hope you like..

well its been awhile.. I've been away taking care of sick relatives and to be honest EVERY spare minute was spent helping out family... there has been no time for new crafts.. now I'm back home and ready to knock the dust off my copics.... my cricut thinks I've abandoned it.... This is a card I made for my mom in law on Mothers Day....

I'm always having trouble finding which cricut cartridge a certain cut I want is on... cheat sheets help but you still have to go thru paper.. the gypsy is wonderful for doing searching, but thats a lot of money to pay if all you ever use it for is to search cut files... so this site:

This is for my great niece.. She just had oral surgery and I wanted to brighten her day...

This card was created for the Creative Inspirations Shaker Card challenge.. This is my first shaker card and I found it to be the most difficult I've ever done. I overglittered the inside and had so much of it stick to the acetate front... this was fun to make and a good experience but this card will stay here for the holidays and hang on our tree.. More practice is needed before sending these out to anyone... but I'm glad I challenged myself to try it...

Bugaboo Stamps DT Call challenge

I'm going to try for a DT spot at my fav stamp site, Bugaboo Stamps. They make it so easy to order digital stamps. All you have to do is pick out your fav stamp (this is the hard part as you want all of them..LOL), order, download, then print out a digital stamp. EZ PZ.... and for November, the digis are 50% off... I'm going to pull up my wish list and get busy ordering...
I'm submitting one card using a Bugaboo stamp (Poppi Penguin Christmas) and two others.
I used all kinds of texture on the Poppi card. Liquid applique on the marshmallow, glitter dimensional on the foam, glimmer mist on the papers, stickles everywhere and colored "blingees" around the frame. It really is cuter in person... hope it photographs well.

Wish me luck.. I'd LOVE to work with this awesome group...

first off sorry for the weird angle on the card... I needed to capture all the glitter and bling on it and this was the only way to get it to show up...
gotta lot of challenges that I'm entering this little cutie into.. She is from the new 2010 Christmas Tilda collection.. I fell in love with this stamp as soon as I saw it.. I already had the sentiment stamp for a while. She is blinged out with Glitter, Stickles and Glimmer Mist...

Sometimes a card just comes together easily for me.. (few and far between I'll be the first to admit..) This one started with coloring the image.. I just love this Hedgie Halloween stamp.. The colors worked really good with the Halloween Colors challenge from Color Throwdown.. A Spoonful Of Sugar challenge was to use Halloween theme.. and Caardvarks challenge was to decorate inside and out..
then I wanted something unusual in the corners.. so I had the bat pieces left over from last year..

I needed a birthday card for my daughters close friend.. and I just love this tilda with lollipop.. I added glimmer mist on all the colors and even glimmer misted the sheer sparkly ribbon.. then I added some Stickles and even stuck the skittles on with glitter glue.. the pic just does not do the card justice.. I've been enjoying using gamsol to color stamped images.. and I finally used up some of my RAK flower soft.. I've got to get the right kind of glue though... all the posts say it does make a difference.. and i used polymer to make the glass look like it has water in it.. it doesn't really show up very good in the pics though..

I've been in a card frenzy for some reason.. I don't know why.. i think that because its been so long that seeing how quick the cards go together just makes me happy.. What A Year This Has Been

WOW.. time truly does fly. I have not been able to craft anything in almost a year.. (GASP, CLANK) (sound of several hard core crafters hitting the floor.. LOL) This past year has been very hard mentally for my family. We lost my mom and I just have not had the energy to even think about crafting.. Now that fall is approaching I can feel myself start to come alive again. My mom LOVED the fall. It was her favorite time of the year. She would always visit and we would sit in the craft room with coffee and dream of our next craft project.. I miss that.. I miss her.. but I know that she is watching me from above.. (probably telling Saint Peter that she would have used a different color stickle for that paper).... Its time now to get back into the things I love. Family, Scrapping, Crafting... and to realize that its o.k. to be happy again. Thats what mom's want for us...

Go Digital Scrapbooking...
YEAH !! I actually made it to Round 2 of the Go Digital Scrapbooking Supreme Team Challenge.. I can't believe it.. There was some SERIOUS talent that entered the contest.. We were able to use the kit called Your Day by Dani.. It was an amazing kit to work with.. Here is the layout I used for Round1. We had to use only products from the kit and original brushes and tools from our program.. No actions, scripts, etc.. It was actually hard to do as I've been using actions for so long.. I had to remember how to do things step by step.. We get to use a beautiful kit called Waiting for you by Majula in the next round. Wish Me Luck.
