I am a mom of two. I was lucky enough to marry my high school sweetheart and best friend. We have three cats, two dogs and 2 hamsters in our family. I was diagnosed with Lupus a while back and had to quit my job due to stress. Now I am a SAHM trying to help our budget by designing craft items on ETSY... Thank goodness for the crafting community.. They are truly the kindest people in the world...

This week at Penny Black Saturday challenge, the challenge was SPOOKY NIGHTS. I decided to use Halloween Web and Dancing Witch... This card is going to one of my online buddies... Spooky Halloween All !!
I'm not sure if you've heard about this, there is a holiday card drive going on until November 15 called Caring Hearts Card Drive. This card drive is being organized by Vera of Ling's Design Studio to send cards to elder homes for Thanksgiving & Christmas. The main site is here. In addition Simon Says challenge this week is to create a Thanksgiving card to send to Vera. And the colors this week at Sketchy Colors worked out perfectly. The colors for this week are Black, Orange & Green. Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge this week was to include a die cut or punch.. I've used a punch for the fall leaves. You know how we all LOVE to create cards.. How about sending to someone who would really appreciate it.. Please consider joining in the effort.. Here is one of the cards I'm sending.
Sometimes a card just comes together easily for me.. (few and far between I'll be the first to admit..) This one started with coloring the image.. I just love this Hedgie Halloween stamp.. The colors worked really good with the Halloween Colors challenge from Color Throwdown.. A Spoonful Of Sugar challenge was to use Halloween theme.. and Caardvarks challenge was to decorate inside and out.. then I wanted something unusual in the corners.. so I had the bat pieces left over from last year.. the mat was cut with my cricut..
I needed a birthday card for my daughters close friend.. and I just love this tilda with lollipop.. I added glimmer mist on all the colors and even glimmer misted the sheer sparkly ribbon.. then I added some Stickles and even stuck the skittles on with glitter glue.. the pic just does not do the card justice.. It sparkles so much.. I sure hope my DD's friend will love it.. I'm entering this into the Magnolia Stamp Lovers (MSL) challenge this week which just happens to be: SPARKLING & into the challenge at Stampin Royalty. this week their challenge is Ribbons..
I've been wanting to play along with the Penny Black Saturday challenge for some time. I adore all their cute stamps. I've had this snowman (Warm & Cold) in my stash for a while and finally broke him out.. The challenge this week was a sketch and use one of the Penny Black stamps.
For this Halloween card I used the sketch from Sketchy Colors challenge, the Black & White color scheme from Anything Goes challenge, Spooky theme from Creative Inspirations challenge and Halloween theme from Totally Tilda, and of course I added a Tilda...
this week at 7 Kids College Fund the challenge was to use one of the stamps they carry in the store (Inkadinkado's dots flourishes) and use flowers and layers.. At Marks Finest Papers the challenge was to use stitching. At Charisma Cardz the challenge was to go vintage. I used the sketch from Just Magnolia to complete the card.. Totally Tilda challenge was to use Traditional Red & Green Christmas. And this week at ABC Challenge we needed to use flowers. The tilda is one of the stamps I've been saving for Christmas cards...
Papertake is having a B'day... And turning 3 !!! Congrats.. and they are having a WONDERFUL challenge this week.. pick one of our favorite challenges from the past three years... How Fun !! Go and join em for some fantastic blog birthday candy. I chose one from way back, Monday October 1, 2007, called Swirly Doodles.. here is my take on the challenge.. I used a swirl pattern paper.
Sketchy Colors has a new challenge.. Its a sketch by Lena Katrine. Here is my take on the challenge.. I made a softbackground and used a tilda and SU Tree.
I made this card for the 7 Kids College Fund (Sketch and Double Up) and Color Throwdown (#113) Challenges... The two stamps from 7 Kids are a Magnolia (of course) and the Double Scroll by Rhonna Farrer. I stamped a very light pattern scroll behind the Magnolia Witch.
Its time for the new sketch challenge over at Magnolia-licious blog.. here is my entry for the challenge which is a fall theme using paper bags.. I stamped then cut out fall leaves to use as the background out of the paper bags.. hope you like it..
