Wintertime Red

I have never used acetate in the cuttlebug before so I thought I'd give it a try. I used the swirls folder and placed the acetate over the Magnolia and Snowman.
It was a little hard to get the design to show up on the photo.

Magnolia-Licious Hi There

hi there.. well its actually been warm here in the deep south.. Temps some days in the high 70's.. which is making my flowers want to come out too early... Its put me into the mood for some spring colors... Its a perfect time for the Magnolia-Licious Inspiration Challenge.  I've always been intimidated by these wonderful artists before.. but I gotta jump into this challenge sometime.. so here is my take on the current challenge.

Mindy Baxter Technique Class

If you use Copic markers on your card images and participate in any blog challenges you've probably come across some of the gorgeous images colored by Mindy Baxter "StampinMindy".  I purchased her Etsy class to learn some of her techniques.  This is how my first image turned out using her tips.  Its a new technique for me so it will take some practice.  But its so worth it.. I love the depth that her images have.  Mindy is also offering classes at the CMC Classroom site.

I've Been ETSY'd Finally !!!

OK all... I've got my new ETSY store up and running now... I've been selling some of my cards to friends and relatives and they have been after me to sell online..

so  wander on over and take a look.. I'm just getting started so not a lot posted in ETSY yet... but I'm working away at home... Frosty the Snowman

I decided to do something a little different with a cut file I was "playing around" with..  I turned the inside cut a quarter turn and liked the way it set the snowman image off.  This card is being entered into the following challenge:

I colored this Dustin Pike image first.. I think this "Relaxin Rudy" is just the cutest..  The paper is from Paper Studios All Seasons.. Colored with Copics.. I used metallic pens to highlight, silver metallic and glitter foam snowflakes for accent.

Fall Thank You

 I created this card for a dear cousin who visited last month and cooked the entire time she was here.. Did I mention she is from the deep south... OH MY... a wonderful cook... I think I gained 20 pounds.. I wanted to tell her "THANK YOU" and how much we appreciated it all.  When I saw this Magnolia stamp I knew I had to use it along with fall colors...

I'm sorry for my absence from blogger.  My Lupus usually will make an appearance during the hot months..  And since we live on the Gulf coast.... Need I say more.. Its Been A Beach Of A Day.....

hey all.. well I must of had too much coffee today cuz I was able to complete two cards today.   usually my cards are drying at night then I take pics the next day.. but today was one of those days where everything fell into place.. and not on the ground like usual...  granted the cards are not super elaborate, but sometimes I like the image to shine thru.. I used a sketch from the Bugaboo Stella Sketch for the layout on this card. and the image is a Bugaboo Stamp.  I used glossy accents on her glasses to give that Ray-Ban aviator look... oh lordy I'm dating myself with that one... I used to wear those super reflective glasses before they were Retro !!

well its been more like a sprinkle here.. not enough rain yet.. Hope we don't have another dry summer..
